Girls Lacrosse

MIDDLETOWN >> Ryan Miela scored four goals and goalkeeper Olivia Hawk stopped eight shots to lift Mercy past Shelton, 10-8, in a Southern Connecticut Conference girls lacrosse matchup on Thursday.

Jordyn Masse and Marialena Bevilacqua netted three goals apiece for the host Tigers (2-4).

Jill Ortoli notched a game-high five goals for the Gaels (1-4).

Girls Lacrosse

Old Lyme 19, Haddam-Killingworth 9 >> At Higganum, senior Sloane Sweitzer scored a game-high six goals and Syndey Cowell tallied five goals and four assists to lead the visiting Wildcats (5-0).

Brinley Anderson collected four goals and three assists, while Julie Hausherr netted four goals for H-K (1-4).

Softball

Cromwell 16, East Hampton 2 (5) >> Senior pitcher Maddy Budzik tossed a four-hitter to earn her second complete win in three days for the visiting Panthers (3-3) on Wednesday.

Cromwell’s balanced offensive attack was led by Kate Pitreszek, Taylor Wood. Kaila Donadio and Kelsea Cochran.

The Bellringers fell to 3-4.

Middletown 18, Platt 8 >> The host Blue Dragons (5-1) scored 14 runs in the fifth inning en route to a CCC win on Thursday. Alex Giardina went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, while winning pitcher Sam Pizzonia, Kelsey White, Briana DiMartino, and Rachel Thompson had three hits apiece.

White capped Middletown’s big day with a solo home run in the sixth.

Jenixza Febles went 2-for-2 with three runs scored for Platt (3-4).

Baseball

East Hampton 11, Cromwell 2 >> Senior righthander Chad Stanton tossed a two-hitter with five strikeouts, while Owen Wosleger and Zach Player each had three hits and three RBIs to lift the host Bellringers on Thursday.

Player homered, Wosleger had a triple, and Randy Michaud and Ian Reilly each had a pair of RBIs for East Hampton (6-3).

Peter Dewey had a hit and two runs scored for the Panthers (6-3).

Old Lyme 16, Portland 11 >> The visiting Wildcats (3-4) rapped 13 hits in a Shoreline win on Thursday.

Austin White homered for the Highlanders (3-3).

Prince Tech 14, Vinal Tech 9 >> At Middletown, sophomore Victor Garcia earned the pitching win for the Falcons (3-3).

The Hawks fell to 1-5.

Boys Tennis

East Hampton 6, Haddam-Killingworth 1 >> At Higganum, Alex Karalus earned a straight set win at No. 1 singles and Collin Twiss took third singles to lead the Bellringers (4-3).

Ben McLaughlin captured second singles for the host Cougars (1-5).

Old Lyme 6, Cromwell 1 >> Brendan White captured No. 1 singles to lead the unbeaten Wildcats (6-0). Jared Grant and Justin Risley teamed for a win at No. 1 doubles for the host Panthers (2-4).

Lyman Hall 5, Coginchaug 2 >> At Wallingford, Kyle Judson earned a three-set win at No. 1 singles and Bryce Fleck and Conrad Korzon won a three-set match at No. 3 doubles to lead the Blue Devils (1-7) in a non-league contest.

Jake Wolansky, Kyle Bonet, and Jack Gaynor won singles matches for the host Trojans (3-5).

Girls Tennis

North Haven 6, Mercy 1 >> At Middletown, Julia Migliorini won at No. 1 singles to lead the Indians (3-2).

Jenna Ireland captured fourth singles for the host Tigers (3-4).

Boys Golf

Wilcox Tech 201, Vinal Tech 212 >> At Indian Springs Golf Course, medalist Matt Higgins shot a 42 to lead the Indians. The Hawks fell to 2-4, 1-2 CSC.

Boys Lacrosse

Old Lyme 11, Haddam-Killingworth 5 >> Henry Hunt had a game-high five goals and Ian Humphreys added three goals to lift the unbeaten Wildcats (8-0).

Sam Purdy and Carter Steinhilper had two goals apiece for the visiting Wildcats (3-4).
