After winning its fourth straight Class LL state title, Amity is the unanimous No. 1 team in the final poll of 2016.
The Spartans defeated new No. 3 Fairfield Warde 4-3 on a walk-off walk to win the championship. Amity went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team in the state. It started the preseason No. 1 and never relinquished it despite losing once to Cheshire.
Notre Dame-West Haven won the Class L title over No. 4 East Lyme to join the final poll at No. 2.
Class M champion Wolcott comes in at No. 5 and Class S champion St. Paul Catholic is No. 9.
