Clik here to view.Eight people will be inducted into the West Haven Hall of Fame on Nov. 21 at the Cielo, West Haven Italian American Club.
The 2015 inductees are as follows: father and son Hooker McMahon (1953), who starred in football, basketball and baseball, and Paul McMahon (1987), a key player on West Haven’s 1987 state champion basketball team; Lisa DeFaranos (1987) excelled for four years in volleyball, basketball and softball; Thomas Lawson (1951) a standout goalkeeper in hockey who had a run of seven shutouts and a goals allowed average of less than one goal per game in 1951; Ivoree Stanley (1995), the Register’s Area MVP in 1995 for boys basketball; Bill Weirether (1959), who starred in three sports (football, basketball and baseball); Gene Staehly (1974), a ex-standout in both football and lacrosse; and Ray Luedee, a former Register All-State selection in hockey, who recorded 52 points as a senior. Luedee ended up getting his GED in Canada.
